Braintree CC meeting of 27 May 2020

 

Attending: Sandy Stephens, Paul Shriver, Gina Logan, Linda Morse, Joan Richmond-Hall

 

Convened at 7:05 pm

 

 

Pollinator’s talk

Randolph (Mike Van Dyke) just did a talk on appropriate backyard habitats. Paul will touch base with them and see if we can do a pollinators talk that seems to dovetail with that.

 

Megan O’Toole let the CC know that the Selectboard is considering a solar array at the old, closed gravel pit and wants our thoughts. We support the concept and would like to be kept in the loop as things develop. (Unanimous vote in favor)

 

Work day to pull chervil and knotweed at Thayer Brook:

• Tuesday 16 June, 9 am at Thayer Brook
• Tuesday 23 June, 9 am at Thayer Brook
• BYO Tools and everything else, black garbage bags too

• Birds: watching, loss, etc
  • Bobolinks
  • Kestrel nest boxes
