Conservation Commission

The Braintree Conservation Commission was established by the Selectboard in 2013 with the mission of working to maintain the rural character of Braintree by conserving and enhancing natural and cultural resources within the community.

The Commission meets at 7 p.m. the fourth Wednesday of each month at the Braintree Town  Office. The public is welcome to attend.

Cemetery Commission

The Braintree Cemetery Commission oversees and maintains the cemeteries located in Braintree. The Commission meets April – November on the first Wednesday of the month, or as needed, at the Braintree Town Office. The public is welcome to attend.

Planning Commission

The Braintree Planning Commission oversees land use and land use policy in Braintree. The Commission meets on the the third Thursday of the month at the Braintree Town Office. The public is welcome to attend.

Town Plan Public Hearing Notice

Town of Braintree, VT

The Selectboard of the Town of Braintree will hold a hearing on the proposed revision of the Braintree Town Plan on September 5th, 2023, at 5:30 PM at the Town Office, located at 932 VT-12A, Braintree, Vermont.

The Selectboard invites comments at this Public Hearing, or comments may be submitted ahead of time to the Selectboard via mail sent to the Braintree Selectboard, 932 VT-12A, Braintree, Vermont 05060. The proposed draft Town Plan replaces the previous plan in its entirety and covers all lands within the Town of Braintree. The Town Plan is meant to guide actions by the town and development within the town over the next eight years. Full copies of the draft Town Plan and maps are available from the Braintree Town Clerk at the town office during business hours or on the town website at braintreevt.gov. Below is a summary of the proposal.
